Movie review

“The pursuit of happyness”

Director: Gabriele Muccino
Actors: Will Smith, Thandie Newton and Jaden Smith
Year of release: 2006

Based on a true story, this movie is about a man that has invested heavily in a device known as a "Bone Density scanner". As he is trying to figure it out how to sell this scanner his wife leaves him, he loses his house, his bank account and credit cards. Forced to leave on the streets with his son, desperate to find a job, he takes on a job as a stockbroker, but before he can receive pay, he needs to go through 6 months of training, and to sell his devices.

Why is “happiness” spelled wrong in the title?

The title is intentionally misspelled; the misspelled phrase is actually taken from an essay written in 1776 that argued that whites and blacks were created equal.

Genre: Drama
Movie rating: 7.8
18 nominations for oscar and 10 wins.

I personally think that Will Smith did an amazing job playing this roll; he acted with his child so that gave more emotion to the scenes, is a movie of 2006 so it doesn’t have the same image quality as actual movies.

I like this movie because it shows you that you can never give up even if you think that there’s anything else to do you have to fight for what you want and it’s about a man that is doing everything for him and his child so I think is beautiful.

In my country many people love this movie every time that this movie is on tv they are always watching it, I will definitely recommend this movie is beautiful and make you think many things about life, like feel appreciated for everything you have.

Chocolate

Can Chocolate
Benefit Your Health?

Chocolate is one of the most popular sweet-tasting treats in the world and has been for centuries. But part of the myth surrounding chocolate is that it tastes so good it must be bad for your health. Which gives it an air of the forbidden.

Is Chocolate A Health Food?

Chocolate contains over 300 chemicals, and has been the subject of a number of studies by universities and other scientific organizations. Here's a quick rundown of the results.

Cacao, the source of chocolate, contains antibacterial agents that fight tooth decay. Of course this is counteracted by the high sugar content of milk chocolate.
* The smell of chocolate may increase theta brain waves, resulting in relaxation.
* Chocolate contains phenyl ethylamine, a mild mood elevator.
* The cocoa butter in chocolate contains oleic acid, a mono-unsaturated fat which may raise good cholesterol.
* Drinking a cup of hot chocolate before meals may actually diminish appetite.
* Men who eat chocolate live a year longer than those who don't.
* The flavanoids in chocolate may help keep blood vessels elastic.
* Chocolate increases antioxidant levels in the blood.
* Mexican healers use chocolate to treat bronchitis and insect bites.
* The carbohydrates in chocolate raise serotonin levels in the brain, resulting in a sense of well-being.

What Chocolate Won't Do:
* Studies show that chocolate is not a causative factor in acne.
* Cacao contains the stimulants caffeine and bromine, but in such small quantities that they don't cause nervous excitability.
* Chocolate is not addictive.
* Chocolate contains stearic acid, a neutral fat which doesn't raise bad cholesterol.
* Chocolate doesn't make you 'high'. You'd need to eat a huge quantity (about 25lbs at one sitting) to feel any noticeable effect.

But On The Negative Side...
1. Chocolate may trigger headaches in migraine sufferers.
2. Milk chocolate is high in calories, saturated fat and sugar.
Dark Chocolate Versus Milk Chocolate:

Dark chocolate contains more cacao and less sugar than milk chocolate. It follows that any health benefits would be more pronounced in dark chocolate.

Dark chocolate is allowed on the popular Montaignac diet while milk chocolate is not.

You'll need to do a little research if you have any health concerns about eating chocolate. But with products like gluten-free and sugar-free brands finding their way onto supermarket shelves, you're sure to find some form of chocolate you can enjoy with a clear conscience.

FASHION TRENDS

 introductory

Fashion is a general term for a popular style, especially in clothing, foot wear, or accessories. Fashion references to anything that is the current trend in look and dress up of a person.
The more technical term, has become so linked in the public eye with the term "fashion" that the more general term "costume" has in popular use mostly been relegated to special senses like fancy dress or masquerade wear, while the term "fashion" means clothing generally, and the study of it.

Lets see some of the trends for this year

                                                    Afrocentric

WHEN thoughts turn to summer, the sun-drenched plains of Africa are never far from designers' minds.
Traditional references continue to inspire. Animal prints - particularly big-cat spots - are a favorite this season.

                                                    Exotic Skins

IT'S not about the size or shape of your bag that counts, it's the super-luxe hide that says spring 2012.
The very latest crop of exotic skin handbags come in a rainbow of hues. Bottega Veneta, Loewe and Roberto Cavalli cater for those looking for classic investment pieces - ladylike totes and satchels in block colour neutrals, that will remain wardrobe favorites for seasons to come.

PEPLUM POWER
For spring, designers use peplums to add structure to dresses or a feminine touch to suits. Whether printed, cinched, lace, or hung low on the hips, a slight pouf at the waist will be spring’s must-have accessory.
                                               THE PALETTE: PASTELS
Versace to Vuitton, knee-length to floor-length, designers gave the season a sense of airiness with a range of pastel tones.
Prada

THE THEME: DEEP SEA

This season’s designers took a dive into the deep blue and came up with pearlized shell clutches at Chanel, coral embellishments at Alexander McQueen, and shark-tooth necklaces at Givenchy.

                                      THE DETAIL: BAROQUE FLOURISHES
Ornamental designs were all over the collections this season. Whether found in the fabric or fine embroidery, they added a touch of the regal.

THE PRINT: DIGITAL IMAGING

From Akris to Mary Katrantzou, designers brought our tech-filled lives to the runway this season by using digital photographs—including a tropical jungle landscape, a spirited bow, and wrapping paper.

THE INSPIRATION: ABSTRACT ART

Models wears solid colors and geometric shapes this season. From Barbara Bui’s clean, modern lines to Hermès’ angular couture, the art world’s twentieth-century geometric abstraction movement made its way to the runways.

THE ANIMAL: BIRDS
Designers used hummingbirds, swans, and pheasants in their bold creations this season—from abstract, graceful lines to three-dimensional birds perched on the chest and shoulders.

CONCLUSION

In this essay I’ve learned that fashion is always changing through the years and is always going to be like a competition for people to know who’s the best dressed, who has the newest things on clothing  or who has the new phone that is trend on that moment and that is not always going to like to you, for example I think that this year’s fashion trend is a little bit crazy because is really colorful and abstract, there are some things that I like and some things that I don’t. Finally lets check how fashion trends had changed since 1990 until now
